Chrysoberyl
Chrysoberyl is a rare semi precious gemstone with a Mohs hardness of 8.5 and a chemical composition of beryllium aluminum oxide. Its main varieties are yellow-green chrysoberyl, cat’s eye chrysoberyl with chatoyancy, and alexandrite, which changes color under different lighting. In gemstone beliefs, it symbolizes protection, luck, clarity, balance, and transformation. Alexandrite is the modern June birthstone linked to personal growth. Cat’s eye chrysoberyl is believed to protect against negative energy and ill-will and is sometimes associated with September in traditional Vedic astrology systems.
